Jillian Desbiens Clinical Social Work-Therapist, MSW, LICSW

Jillian Desbiens
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MSW, LICSW
With empathy, compassion and a passion for human kind, I practice as a MSW, LICSW in order to help my clients feel peace in their hearts, healing in their souls and empowered in their bodies. My main concern as your therapist is making sure you feel heard and supported. Offering a safe space and empathic listening for my clients to process difficult feelings, behaviors, traumas, and losses, starts to open the door for healing. With a non-judgmental approach, I help my clients see their issues clearer, give feedback, and help connect the patterns that may lead to destructive behaviors and increased mental health issues.

With 7 years of practicing with a MSW, LICSW and 16 years in the human service field, I specialize in children, adolescents, adults with co-mobility, trauma and losses. As well as, family work, special needs, difficulties with the school system, behavioral issues, self-harming behaviors and substance abuse.

I am a Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher and practitioner in my own life. With a unique focus on mindfulness, body scanning and deep breathing, my goals as a therapist are that my clients are less reactive to intense emotions, thoughts and behaviors and can become more calm in daily life.
